Lawn Tarps

In recent years some residents have started the practice of tarping their lawns for the winter months. This practice can present a hazard to the town's snow clearing equipment. In 2015 the town's loader mounted snow blower suffered severe damage from a piece of concrete used to keep a tarp in place. In light of this, residents are advised that tarps are not permitted to be placed outside property boundaries. Where property boundaries extend close to the curb we request that residents maintain a minimum of 8 feet between the curb and the placement of tarps. In the next few days town staff will be marking the property boundaries with orange paint on lawns where tarps have been placed. We would ask any resident whose tarp is extending beyond the boundary to please move them back to the boundary. Those that have not been moved in a reasonable period of time will be moved by town staff.

The Town of Massey Drive would like to thank residents in advance for their cooperation in this matter.
